We’ve never met a child who claims ‘they can’t do English’ but we’ve met plenty who claim they ‘can’t do maths’ ! As professionals, we understand the many barriers that children put up regarding maths and our job is to take the mystery out of maths for them. Whatever their age or stage of learning, our maths tuition will be specifically tailored to your child’s needs.
We are committed to helping your child flourish in school by ensuring they have a full and confident understanding of key concepts. Our initial assessments help us to identify where the gaps in learning currently are and our lessons then focus on filling these gaps allowing your child to then progress with confidence and clarity.
As your child progresses with us they will begin to approach maths at school with greater confidence …. And maths becomes less of a ‘can’t do’ and more of a ‘can do’ subject for them. We can’t promise to make them passionate about maths (although you never know !) but we can help ensure they have the toolkit needed to get back on track and keep on track. For those who find maths easy and may, as a result, be coasting in class we can bring back their maths spark and push them ahead with our extensive range of more challenging maths. We refuse to recognise a ceiling for any child’s learning.
Your child is unique and their lessons plans will always be focused to their individual learning needs. As teachers we know what key concepts need to be covered and as professionals we know the pace and level at which we need to work in order for your child to achieve proper understanding and solid foundations for the next stage.

Children often see English as a subject that requires a certain ‘flair’ or ‘creativity ‘which many believe they simply do not possess. As professional teachers we understand that English simply follows rules, just like maths and many other subjects and our tutoring ensures that our pupils see this too. We equip your child with the toolkit they need to ‘attack’ a blank page or to use high level inference skills during comprehension tasks.
